I can't handle the fake!!! . . Sometimes, it seems that mom bloggers are either those who portray a perfect life with perfect children, OR a wild and chaotic life leaving us to hide behind our bedroom doors with a bottle of wine, waiting for our chance to escape our children. . . . I personally find it hard to believe either of those types of bloggers because life isn't perfect and our kids aren't hell on earth either. Most (normal) moms which I hope I come across as in my social media, experience and share both the ups and downs of motherhood. It's good to share victories, clean houses, recipes and high fashion mom life. It's also cool to see that there are actually other kids out there making messes, having tantrums and driving their mothers crazy sometimes. . . In my opinion, the MAIN thing to portray is the truth in proper balance. I loooove seeing those bloggers who don't portray themselves as goddesses who somehow figured out how to be the perfect parent after having 1 child who is only 9 months old and are ready to give you advice on how to be a perfect parent like them. I loooove when moms don't sound like they genuinely hate the fact that they even had children in the first place and choose to build their following around that idea. . . Y'all, I am FOUR KIDS IN and I KNOW I still have so much to learn despite the wealth of knowledge I've gained over the last 8 years. My kids aren't perfect, but they are so perfect for me. They make me soooo proud when i see how sweet, smart, funny and entertaining they are. But then they also continue to surprise me with how gross they can be or how emotionally unstable at times. I enjoy this phase of my life with young kids and sometimes I also crave alone time and just want to be around grown ups for a little bit. I vent to my husband, friends and Instagram community about how much I feel I suck as a mom, and then I get so filled with pride and joy when I see how much my positive influence and teachings are rubbing off on my babies. . . It's life y'all, it's a balance. Those of us who call ourselves bloggers/ influencers, no matter how big or small our platforms are, have a responsibility to be genuine🖤

Snow Day in Montreal! . . If you saw my story today, you'll see that I got a full body workout from shoveling the mountain of snow that developed on our front steps. I don't need to hit the gym today at all, my arms are finished😩. Andre normally does the shoveling but while he's at work and I'm seeing the build up, I knew I needed to tackle it before I it gets any worse (because we know it will get worse🤦🏾‍♀️) . . Who does the shoveling in your household??? . . P.S. Huge THANK YOU to my sweet neighbor @twindiariesxo for letting me borrow your shovel since my boys left ours in the backyard which is now completely buried somewhere out there😅

If y'all remember, one of my goals this year is to support all kinds of unique businesses including entrepreneurs, Canadian small businesses, local companies and of course men and women of color 🖤 I'm choosing to support them by not asking for a discount or freebie but paying full price, buying what I know I'd be happy to use or gift to someone and if I'm not able to purchase, it costs nothing to like, share, & promote those hard working men and women in business! Being new to the entrepreneurial game myself, I didn't realize how much work actually goes into building a brand/ business and I have a deeper level of respect for all those out there who are trying to make a name for themselves in their respective industries!

This little lady surprises me! She's finally getting a chance to wear her robe from @_stephie_lash (thank you cousin!) and suddenly she's taken on my essence. She twirled around in the mirror once she put it on and smiled with approval, impressed with her bathrobe. She then immediately went straight to her room where the boys are cleaning up toys and sweeping and grabbed the broom as if to show them how to do the job right😩😂 . . She's just like me in soooo many ways, her brothers already follow her lead as if she's the second mommy in the house! Welcome to our chaos. A 100% unfiltered, non pinterest worthy glimpse into our daily lives. Jonathan won't eat his breakkie, Imanuel spilled his entire bowl of cereal and is moving as slow as a turtle to clean up his mess. Destiny is having a total melt down and is protesting eating her oatmeal. Jeremiah thankfully is eating his apple peacefully. My kitchen and homeschool shelf are a complete mess and I am unbothered. . . Do I like my house in a mess? absolutely not! Do I enjoy the spills, melt downs and constant repetition to my toddler to eat his food? Nope! Do I think I'm a perfect mom? Not even close. . . BUT, I do think I'm the perfect mom for MY babies. Of the billions of people on earth, God gave these kids to Andre and I, so we must be the right ones for the job. Whatever chaos you're living through mama, just remember you're the best one for the job, your kids adore you, and you can do this!
